#TBT - My first marathon, Chicago Marathon 2010. It was perfectly awful, and I tried again in 2011. Again, it was awful. But I kept marathoning every year after knowing I could do better. I’m so pumped to return in 2020. Ten years stronger & wiser. I have a really good feeling about this one. 😎
Last week my fast four miles felt unattainable and stripped away any goal chasing confidence I had. Today the plan was fast four: No hyena breathing, slow my ass down, but RUN FAST it’s cold outside! Steady, controlled, strong, & I even enjoyed the sunset: 7:43, 7:59, 7:53, 7:51. Persistence, yo! Glad to get some confidence back!
